Vox Pop

Would you rather change the pass or see the future?

Firstly, a vox pop is an interview in which a person is asked for their thoughts on a matter of general interest. This is the oldest question in the book, one of the most common classics and we've been asking around about this lately so here are the replies we've received:

(Yon's cousin)
~Loveen Tan~

If I was given the choice, I would want to change the past. I would want to turn back time and tell the young Loveen to appreciate what you have and the people around you. Don't fret the small stuff and smile more :)

Well in my opinion, I would totally choose to see the future because seeing the future is really cool and fascinating. You'll get to see what you'll be going through next in life. It may be sickness, tragedies or even losing someone you care about but at least this way I could ready myself before it occurs. For instance I'll be getting really ill in the future well at least I know that I'm going to get sick then but I would had been well prepared myself mentally for it. After I got to see my future I will be ready to face those challenges head on, have fun and I'll always be one step ahead of everyone. I didn't chose the other option as I would rather learn from my lessons and move on than change it.

I choose to see the future because I won't know what it will bring. Maybe excitement? Terror? Happiness? Depression? Life is full of up and down. Not being able to predict what is going to happen next makes it more interesting. That is why I would rather see the future.

I would choose to see the future as if I chose to change the past I cannot predict the future. Besides, if I could see the future I can predict what will happen and I could change or improve things from now onwards. I don't think changing the past is a good plan because once you have changed it you can't return things to its original place and you would regret it if you chose the wrong move.

I would choose to change the past because if the past is changed we can have a different and better future. Okay, just imagine you forgot to do your homework yesterday, and today you know that the teacher is going to call your parents because you didn't do you're homework, you would want to change the past so you can finish your homework and hand it in, right? So in conclusion, you would want to change the past for a brighter future.

Everyone should go check out Xiao Cheng's blog

So here are the results:

CHANGE THE PAST - 1

SEE THE FUTURE - 3

It looks like the minority goes to the "change the pass" option or maybe it's just because of the people we've selected. There really isn't a "right answer" to this question as it is based entirely on everyone's personal opinions.

Music Video(MV) by Ariana Grande - One Last Time

Hi peeps ,Ji n i will sharing about my favourite music video One Last time nt Ariana Grande . The music video displays news anchor reports about the Earth on course to pass through the tail of a comet named Eurydice, as well as displaying a worldwide panic. The rest of the video then is presented through the use of a handheld video camera. Grande is in a Fait car as the passenger, with her boyfriend (played by Matt Bennett), who is recording. They are stuck in traffic as they try to leave the city. While everyone around them is panicking, Grande seems to be calm as she wants to get a closer look at the comet. Impatient, she leaves the car while Bennett tries to stop her, and then follows. They make their way through the crowds, but are stopped by the police who are barricading the street. Meanwhile, the comet erupts in the sky and begins to crash to the ground as the song starts. Grande manages to get through our but Bennett is unable to, so he goes through an open ambulance and manages to catch up with her in an alleyway with stairs leading up into an apartment complex. The two enter a home of a frightened family and try to leave through the other door, only for the comet to crash into the building, nearly killing both of them. The two continue on and enter a room filled with television screens of the comet and an old man sitting at a desk. As the two of them try to leave, he tries to stop them, but they knock him to the ground, and all the screens change to the same countdown timer. Grande and Bennett eventually make their way up the rooftop after subduing the old man again, who had caught up with them. The camera is then set down, and shows the two of them embracing each other one last time until the comet finally crashes down and destroys everything.

In this song, she admits to being unfaithful and says even though she knows she’s in the wrong and doesn’t deserve to get her ex-boyfriend back, she wants to spend one more night with him as her final goodbye. A part of her also hopes that after one more night together, he will be able to forgive her and take her back.

In my opinion
She thinks that she was a liar. For being honest that she fail to do it better . It was the last time , she needs to hake him home after that he has freedom . It was her last time to say goodbye to him .

I hope this won't be the one last time you visit our blog!GET IT? GET IT? :D
By the way, we encourage y'all to view the web version of out blog. Thank you.

A Review of The Lyrics and The Music Video Of ' Demons'

A Review of The Lyrics and The Music Video Of ' Demons'

Hello my fellow soulmates.I'm Tew and I'm here to give my opinion on the lyrics and music video of the song 'Demons' by Imagine Dragon. Just to justify, our group members are doing our reviews seperately so you might wanna leave more time on this page(evil laughs). This song is so deep that my poor weak girl brain can't process it.Not to fear(comforting myself). We will work through this deep song of deepness. We will do this thing. We will do it TOGETHER. Much like when girls visit the bathroom in a massive group because that's what girls do, right? Okay, let us begin.

            When the days are cold
         And the cards all fold
         And the saints we see
         Are all made of gold

My opinion is that the narrator here is referring to difficult times. "And the cards all fold" is when he is hopeless. "The saints we see are all made of gold"? This is a matter of shifting his perspective, my friend. YOU are the one who chooses to disregard all flaws and views these "saints" as something non-human. The line "Are all made of gold" means means that the "saints" the narrator saw is so far away from him.
When your dreams all fail
In my opinion our friend the narrator is again referring to difficult times. He had goals and ambitions, but he has been unable to achieve them.
And the ones we hail
Are the worst of all
In my opinion,"And the ones we hail" is talking about the demons inside human beings. "Are the worst of all" refers that they are going to be the demons that hurt our loved ones the most.

And the blood’s run stale
Here, our narrator reveals that he is, in fact, a vampire, and that he has even lost his bloodlust. This is quite unfortunate. But even Dracula went through these periods of ennui, so all hope is not lost, dear Narrator. You will feel the joy of ripping out virgins' throats again, I promise.
I wanna hide the truth
I wanna shelter you
But with the beast inside
There’s nowhere we can hide
The Narrator has a dangerous secret and he wanted to keep the secret to protect his loved ones. But in his heart he hides a beast and it is not hiding itself from the narrator's loved ones.
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
The narrator is saying that no matter how, human beings are still not fulfilled with their hopes and they still are greedy.
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
The narrator thinks that his kingdom is slowly building up.
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It’s where my demons hide
It’s where my demons hide
When anyone feels the emotions in the narrator, look into his eyes because that's where he would show his feelings.

Don’t get too close
It’s dark inside
It’s where my demons hide

It’s where my demons hide
The narrator is warning people not to be close to him because he might harm them and he doesn't want his old, bad memories to haunt him down again.
Curtain’s call
Is the last of all
When the lights fade out
All the sinners crawl
My opinion is that " The curtain call is the end of the play, "and thus, of life. The narrator postulates that those who have not played their parts well will no longer be able to walk upright at this point.
So they dug your grave
And the masquerade
Will come calling out

At the mess you've made
"So they dug your grave" means that someone is preparing a trap for the narrator to step in. The people setting the trap are ready to expose the secrets hidden by the narrator.
Don't wanna let you down
But I am hell bound
Though this is all for you
Don't wanna hide the truth
Again, the narrator is stating that things are beyond his control. he didn't want his loved ones to be hurt but he has no other choices.
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
Repetition of previous chorus that humans are still greedy no matter what.
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It’s where my demons hide
It’s where my demons hide
Don’t get too close
It’s dark inside
It’s where my demons hide
It’s where my demons hide
Repetition of statement that Narrator is Not Good People. Warning of Dangerous Secrets.
They say it's what you make
I say it's up to fate
It's woven in my soul
I need to let you go
The Narrator acknowledges that others have stated a need for him to take responsibility for his own actions, but that he has denied this and placed all blame others.and that is why he's breaking up with his loved ones.
Your eyes, they shine so bright
I wanna save that light
I can't escape this now
Unless you show me how
Narrator indicates that "you" has high wattage bulbs in her eyes and wants to insure that they do not burn out. He wants to protect her from his Bad Secrets, but at the same time feels that she could be his salvation.

Now let's go through the meaning behind this music video.First, take a look at the music video of the song.

Imagine Dragon was having a concert.

As the camera zoomed into a girl's eyes, she looked very emotional and hopeless as her she was in one of her parents funeral before she attended this concert and both of her parents weren't there already.

Another pair of perplexed eyes looked into the camera as he has some kind of disease known as Anorexia that'll make him as thin as a pole and he was being bullied before that because of his body shape.

The camera caught another teen who looked very hopeless as he was in his father's violence because his father was drunk every time he got home and the teen was already numb every time his father hit him because he got used to it.

The pair of helpless eyes belong to this grown man whose a soldier who used to fight for his country while watching his own teammates sacrifice themselves as he had to carry them back with his bare hands during the war.

Generally, this video is giving out a message that each and every one of us have our own secrets and flaws so don't judge a book by its cover and that the eyes is the soul to your emotions as you cannot hide your emotions through your eyes no matter how hard you try.

To the "loved ones" of this song, and to anyone who thinks it is the BEST SONG EVER, although i quite like the rhythm of this song but I have one piece of advice: RUN! Because this might be the most DARK+EMOTIONAL song that you've ever heard... By the way it's only my opinion.

Music Video Review!

ReviewShatter Me- Lindsey Stirling (featLzzy Hale)

Is it hi or hey? It's Yon, here to do my own little personal review on a music video. In case you're wondering, we're all doing individual reviews as the 3 of us all happen to have different choices of music videos. Okay now that that's settled let's just get on with it. Music videos are great for promoting songs and providing a better and clearer idea of what the song is actually about. I don't know about you but I personally dislike songs that are just plain catchy with pointless lyrics. I chose what used to be my favorite song that got stucked in my head for days, aka Shatter Me featuring Lzzy Hale- Lindsey Stirling. Well I kind of just felt that this is a shining example of what I was talking about.

My Review: After watching this video, my guess of what this song is trying to tell is there's actually a better situation to be in than your current one and you'll just have to break through and shatter the barrier that stops you from reaching it which really is just your fear of not wanting to leave what you've already gotten used to. (I'm sorry. I know I sound so cheesy right now, opps?)

Regarding the bat part in the video, the bat is a creature that constantly lives in the darkness but when it flew passed a shattered part of the globe that
represents the barrier that I had mentioned, it transformed into a butterfly. Oh gosh, I'm over doing it with the cheesiness.

I found this music video unique as it's a combination of rock and powerful vocals along with elements that are typically used for classical music such as ballet and the violin instrument. Unlike any other violinist, Lindsey could play while performing ballet which is incredibly difficult to accomplish all at once. I mean have you ever seen anyone rocking out with a violin while ballet dancing before? Well now you have.

I think the way they expressed the song in this video was really creative and I can't stress enough how impressive the edits and special effects were in this music video just like any other videos from Lindsey's YouTube channel even though she isn't part of vevo.
