Class Trip to Kuala Lumpur Hello you. Yes, I mean you. That person reading this on the other side of the screen. It's Yon, here to share our little journey to a batik factory and Aquaria KLCC. The batik factory was originally our first destination but we ended up reaching earlier than expected so we decided to visit a nearby chocolate gallery and had a chance to taste various chocolate samples like sesame, mint and even chili that was tried by poor old Yi Ling that gagged and almost spit it on the ground after testing it.

Here's the lady explaining about the cocoa tree and their products to us. Hi Tania.

Dragon sculptures made out of expired chocolate.

Delectable and tempting chocolates. We then made our way to a store across the street to a store that sold herbs, honey, Chinese tea and medicine.
Another lady giving a brief explanation of their products to us.Even though none of us were even interested enough to buy those traditional Chinese products. After those visits, we finally headed over to the batik factory with sometime to kill. We strolled around the gift shop but the 3 of us ended up not purchasing anything. We constantly felt followed by the staff. I guess they were afraid we might steal or break something which was very reasonable as those items weren't cheap and Yee Jie knocked over and almost broke the shadow puppets there. Here are pictures that we took of the place before getting told off.
In the workshop, we watched a demonstration of the process and were later give pictures of designs that we had to trace on a piece of cloth with hot wax which was provided along with the color dyes. The process was somewhat tiring and frustrating but I guess the 3 of us did pretty okay for a few amateurs and first timers.

Once we were finished, we left it there to dry off and got back on the bus to head to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) to get lunch and visit Aquaria. We ended up having some fast food like pizza, french fries and burgers. We didn't have many choices so even though the food was just mediocre, it did not leave us starving.

Over here we have Ah Jie being fabulous.
As you can see, it's just another casual day where I'm swimming with fishes and Yi Ling making out with a shark. Oh you know, the usual.
Quote of the day: "Wait. What?" -Yon AQUARIA! FINALLY Aquaria was the most exciting place for the 3 of us even though we had been there several times but it always gives us the thrill of getting to watch those fascinating sea creatures in action up close.
Piranhas
The fishes in the tank go round and round, round and round. (You sang that in your head didn't you?)

I'm watching you. Betcha be jellying.
IM WATCHING YOU.

3 o'clock is the feeding time for the sharks and we got to watch 2 divers swimming with them gracefully just like Yi Ling the majestic mermaid which is a job you could never pay be enough to do.

Overall, we all had a great time. Once we were all on the bus, Ms May Wong started handing out our batiks to us which the bus driver had already picked up for us. With the guidance of the staff there, having to apply the dye on an unstable piece of cloth as many people were working at the same time and our lack of artistic talents, our results were surprisingly satisfying

We all had an enjoyable and ecstatic experience there and as cliche as this will sound but the trick to a great class trip is really the amazing company.
